Welding and metal repair

Professional MIG/MAG and TIG welding for frames, structures and repairs.

Welding and metal repair

What to expect

We carry out welding work for new parts, modifications and repairs. This includes frames, supports, brackets, railings and structural metal parts.

  • Custom work based on a drawing, sketch or example.
  • Execution in steel, stainless steel or aluminium where suitable.
  • Suitable for private and business requests.
  • Clear coordination on material, finish and planning.

Welding and metal repair for strong, practical solutions

When do you need welding work?

Welding is suitable for new metal constructions, modifications to existing parts and repairs of damaged metalwork. This includes frames, supports, brackets, railings, stairs, machine parts, platforms and structural components. We look not only at the weld itself, but also at fit, load, distortion, access and final finish.

MIG/MAG and TIG welding

The right welding method depends on the material, application and desired finish. MIG/MAG welding is efficient for steel structures, frames and robust work. TIG welding is suitable where control, accuracy and a neat finish are important, for example with stainless steel or visible parts. For repairs, we first assess whether welding is the safest and most durable solution.

Repair and modification

When repairing metal parts, the cause of the damage matters. A part that has cracked due to overload often needs more than simply welding the crack. We assess material, wear, connection points and load direction. Where needed, we can reinforce or modify the part to reduce the chance of the same failure returning.

Information needed for a quotation

Please send photos of the part, dimensions, the material if known and a short description of how the part is used. For repairs, it helps to explain how the damage occurred and what forces the part is exposed to. For on-site work, accessibility and safety are also important.

Can you weld on site?

On-site welding or installation is possible in consultation. We first check access, safety and required preparation.

Do you also weld stainless steel?

Yes. Stainless steel welding is possible. Correct preparation and finishing are important to reduce corrosion and discoloration.

Can you repair a broken metal part?

Often yes, but we first assess whether repair is safe and durable. In some cases, replacement or reinforcement is the better solution.

Additional technique

Brazing for strong and neat metal joints

In addition to welding and metal repair, Willemse Metaal can also advise on brazing. Brazing is a joining technique in which metal parts are connected with a filler metal at high temperature, without fully melting the base material itself. This makes it suitable for situations where dimensional accuracy, a clean finish or joining different metals is important.

Brazing can be useful for finer constructions, repairs, fittings, pipework, small parts and combinations of steel, stainless steel, copper, brass or other non-ferrous metals. The technique can create a strong capillary-filled joint with relatively limited distortion. This makes brazing especially useful when a welded joint would be too coarse or when heat input needs to remain limited.

For each application we assess which joining method is most suitable: welding, soldering, brazing, mechanical fastening or a combination of these. We look at material type, load, temperature, corrosion, desired finish and practical assembly on site or in the workshop.

  • Suitable for accurate metal joints and small components.
  • Possible for combinations of different metals, depending on material and application.
  • Cleaner finish and less distortion than some welded joints.
  • Useful for repairs, custom work, pipework, fittings and technical components.
